Meet del
Del Burnett is a retired Presbyterian (PCUSA) clergy with decades of experience as a pastor in urban, suburban and rural congregations, in California, Alaska and Oregon. He has served primarily as a lead pastor managing the challenges and possibilities of congregations and staff, but he has also served as an Interim/Transition pastor.
Academically Del has an under-graduate degree is Psychology, a Master of Divinity and Doctor of Ministry as well as advance theological studies in Ethics and Social Theory. He is a spiritual director, certified MBTI (Meyers-Briggs) officiant, a conflict mediation specialist, congregational and leadership consultant and Benedictine Oblate.
Del became a spiritual seeker early in his ministry career which empowered him to engage the various life and ministry opportunities that came his way (can you say Fairbanks Alaska?) This life-long desire for a vital relationship with God has been enhanced by pilgrimages to Iona, Lindisfarne (Holy Island) and the Camino de Santiago all of which confirm the truth that it’s the journey (the adventure of spiritual growth and exploration) more than the destination that sustains and empower the seeker.
